After opening on a flat note today, Nifty went down 0.5% for the day. Buying was seen in FMCG, PSU Banking stocks while selling pressure was witnessed in Real-estate, Media, Energy and IT stocks.

Major gainers today: Hindustan Unilever, BPCL, Asian Paints

Major losers today: NTPC, SBI Life, Bajaj Finserv

Yesterday, we mentioned that bulls may see 18550 spot for a chance of recovery. Today, Nifty just managed to close above the short-term support of 18550 spot. Overall, the market has managed to absorb the effect of RBI event. Interestingly, Banknifty has traded sideways in last few days.
