🧷 SEBI has introduced the “@valid” UPI handle format to help investors make secure payments. 👉 Here’s everything you need to know:

✅ New @valid UPI Handle Format

✔ A standardized UPI handle format for SEBI-registered intermediaries.
✔ The handle ends with “@valid” and includes a category-specific suffix (e.g., “ra” for Research Analyst, “ia” for Investment Advisor).
Example: abc.ra@validicici (for a Research Analyst).

✅ Clear Visual Indicators for @valid UPI handle

✔ SEBI’s Check tool shows a green-triangle verification icon to confirm trusted transactions.

✅ SEBI Check Tool

✔ SEBI has created the SEBI Check Tool to verify if a UPI ID or bank account belongs to a SEBI-registered intermediary
✔ Works for payments via UPI, NEFT, RTGS, Cheque, or IMPS, helping investors ensure their funds reach the right place
✔ Protects investors by ensuring their money only goes to legitimate, authorized entities.
