Indian Equity Market Report 13th February, 2013

Today, Nifty opened positive and closed with marginal gain of 0.18% for the day. After a positive start, the markets were unable to hold gains for the day as the profit booking followed later. Buying flowed into IT and Auto stocks while Real-estate, Metal and Media stocks saw considerable selling pressure.

Major gainers for the day were: HCL Tech, Tata Motors, ONGC, HDFC, M&M and TCS.

Major losers for the day were: Tata Power, Reliance Infra, Sesa Goa, Bajaj Auto and Powergrid.

Today, Nifty opened positive and closed with marginal loss of 0.10% for the day. Majority of trading day was in range-bound movements. Selling was seen in Infra, IT and Metal stocks while buying came to Pharma and Banking stocks.

Major gainers for the day were: Cipla, Axis Bank, Tata Motors, Dr Reddy’s, Hindustan Uniliver and Hindalco.

Major losers for the day were: Jindal Steel, ACC, Maruti, IDFC, ONGC and HCL Tech.

The Indian equity markets started off on a positive note today but closed negatively for the day. Buying was seen in Auto, Media and Finance stocks while sellers were dominant in Banking, Pharma, Power and Infra stocks.

Major gainers for the day were: HDFC, Tata Motors, Ultratech, Asian Paint, DLF and Hindustan Uniliver.

Major losers for the day were: Bank of Baroda, IDFC, Ranbaxy, Bhel, Cipla and State Bank of India.

Nifty closed above 6000 spot levels – very first time since last 2 years’ time.

After a positive start, the market saw some buying interest with regular profit booking. Buying was seen majorly in Power, IT and Real-estate stocks while Auto, Banking and FMCG stocks were down for the day.

Major gainers for the day were: Cairn, Bharti Airtel, Dr Reddy, Infosys and Reliance.

Major losers for the day were: Punjab National Bank, Tata Power, Lupin, Sun Pharma, Maruti and L&T.

Today, the market opened positive but lost 0.60% for the day. Today, being the expiry day for December 2012 series, the market saw some increased volatility for the day – especially in the noon time.

Buying flowed into some Banking stocks while selling pressure was quite visible in Media, Power and IT stocks.

Major gainers for today were: Tata Motors, Bank of Baroda, State Bank of India and ONGC.

Major losers for today were: GAIL, Jindal Steel & Power, Sun Pharma and HCL Tech.

Today, the Indian equity market opened flat but lost 0.37% for the day. Selling pressure was seen for major part of the day. Buyers seemed to have gave-up at least from the short-term perspective.

Buying was seen in Metal, Auto, Banking and Media stocks. Selling was visible in FMCG, IT, Infra and Power stocks

Major gainers for today were: Hindalco, Sesagoa, Ranbaxy, Cipla, Grasim and Bajaj-Auto.

Major losers for today were: TCS, Bharat Petro, Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank, Wipro, J P Associate.
