The Indian equity markets started off on a negative note and closed with a loss of 0.64%. Buying was seen in FMCG and Pharma stocks while Metal, Auto and Power stocks saw selling pressure.
Major gainers for the day were: Cipla, Siemens, HCL Tech, Lupin, Cairn.
Major losers for the day were: IDFC, Coal India, Tata Power, GAIL, Maruti, Ambuja Cements.
Today, Nifty opened positive and closed with marginal gain of 0.18% for the day. After a positive start, the markets were unable to hold gains for the day as the profit booking followed later. Buying flowed into IT and Auto stocks while Real-estate, Metal and Media stocks saw considerable selling pressure.
Major gainers for the day were: HCL Tech, Tata Motors, ONGC, HDFC, M&M and TCS.
Major losers for the day were: Tata Power, Reliance Infra, Sesa Goa, Bajaj Auto and Powergrid.
Today, Nifty opened positive and closed with marginal loss of 0.10% for the day. Majority of trading day was in range-bound movements. Selling was seen in Infra, IT and Metal stocks while buying came to Pharma and Banking stocks.

Major losers for the day were: Jindal Steel, ACC, Maruti, IDFC, ONGC and HCL Tech.
