Today, Nifty opened on a positive note but closed with marginal gain of 0.20% for the day.

The market breadth was positive. Buying came to Pharma, PSU Banks and Auto stocks. On the other hand, Media stocks saw profit-taking while Real-estate stocks were also down.

Major gainers: HDFC Life, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv

Major losers: BPCL, NTPC, Coal India
