Today, Nifty opened gap-up but was unable to sustain in green, closing with a loss of 0.40% for the day. Notably, this is the 5th consecutive day of fall in Nifty.

Market breadth was negative. Pharma stocks saw some buying while selling pressure was witnessed in PSU Banks, Media and Real-estate stocks.

Major gainers today: ADANIENT, ADANIPORTS, Asian Paint

Major losers today: Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank, Reliance

Bears have dominated trading activities for major part of last 100+ days. Bulls don’t seem to have found enough ground to fight back right now. For long-only traders (those traders who only take trades on buying side) – it is more about capital protection for most days rather than shooting a trade on a daily basis.
