Nifty closed almost unchanged as it was merely up 0.03% (6.25 pts) for the day.

Metal sector led the negativity and were closed followed by media stocks. Real-estate and power stocks were also down. On the other side, marginal buying interest was seen in some banking stocks, CPSE and IT stocks.

Major gainers today: KOTAKBANK, COALINDIA

Major losers today: APOLLOHOSP, ADANIPORTS, HINDALCO

While the market trend continues to remain ‘up’ – the bulls are not looking in total control. Sideways move in the market in hurting index specific traders. Traders should look to find stock specific trading setups rather than wasting capital on index trades currently.

Nifty resistance is likely to be at 18530 spot, support is at 18250-18135 spot zone.
